Brent Messer

Brent is the General Manager of Alphasport, one of Australia's leading distributors of equipment and merchandise to professional football teams, physiotherapists and others involved in sports medicine.

Brent's company sends lots of PDF catalogs to customers and because the files contain high-resolution images, the file size tends to be quite large. He also has to send huge images to the company that designs his catalogs, and can't rely on email to reliably deliver the files.

So, how did you first hear about 2Large2Email?

Interestingly I was having a casual chat to a friend at football training and I was complaining that my emails kept bouncing because the files I was trying to attach were too large. He mentioned that 2Large2Email is designed to alleviate exactly the problems I was experiencing, so I had a look at the site.

What were your first impressions?

Well, I couldn't resist trying out the service so I sent a file to our receptionist, just to see how it worked. Fantastic. You just can't believe how simple it can be to send a large file. I don't know why this hasn't been done before.

So tell us what happened when you first used 2Large2Email.

It's pretty easy. I mean, ridiculously easy. I typed in my email address and the receptionist's email address, and then chose which file I wanted to send. After I hit send the receptionist received an email that said something like: "Brent wants to send you a file that's too large to email. Click here to download it: www.2Large2Email.com/etcetc." When she downloaded it I got an email back basically telling me the mission was complete!

How were you sending large files before you started with 2Large2Email?

Well, I was trying to use email, but to say I was sending them is probably a bit of a stretch. I don't think I'm Robinson Crusoe here, but more files were bouncing than sending.

What sort of changes have you noticed in your workflow?

Obviously I'm not wasting time chasing up files that I emailed to the designer, who never received them. With 2Large2Email I just upload them, hit send and I don't have to worry about them again. Kind of a "set and forget" I guess.

How many people do you send files to?

Oh wow, there's no limit really. Any customer that wants an electronic catalog can use it.
