Sending files

  1. How do I send more than one file at a time?
All paid accounts have the ability to send multiple files at once, so long as they don't exceed your upload limit. To send multiple files simply keep adding the files in the "Send Files Now" section of 2Large2Email. Remember, the more large files you add the longer the upload will be.
  2. How do I send to more than one recipient at a time?
You can send files to more than one recipient at a time with all paid accounts. Simply type in the address of the recipients separated by a comma. If they are already in your address book 2Large2Email will automatically complete the address for you, or you can click the blue plus button on the right hand side to bring up your address book, from where you can select recipients.
  3. What does the "Add password for extra security" mean?
Some paid accounts allow you to set a password for the downloaded file. You can choose the password when you go to send the file. This password will be required to activate the download. If you choose to add a password the recipient will receive two emails - one with the download link and one with the password you choose.
  4. How do I know when my file has been sent?
When you send a file to a recipient they will receive an email with a link. They click the link to activate the download. When they activate the download you will automatically be sent an email notifying you of such. This does not confirm the recipient downloaded the entire file as they may have chosen to cancel it part way through. You can check your outbox in the "Filing Cabinet" to see when files were sent.
  5. Will I get an email when the file I have sent it downloaded?
By default, yes. When the recipient clicks on the link to download the file you sent them, you will automatically receive an email notifying you that the recipient has downloaded your file.
  6. Why would I encrypt my files?
File encryption is a great way to offer another level of security. Basically it scrambles your files through transmission and makes it useful for the recipient. Encryption helps to stop prying eyes looking at your files while they are being sent.
  7. What is the "track files" option and how does it work?
The filing cabinet section has a tracking and logging option so you can keep an eye on what's happening with your files, and how they're being sent and viewed, etc.
  8. How big can the files I send be?
Check out your account details under the "Preferences" section which outlines your plan's parameters. If you need to send larger files you can always upgrade your account. Remember though, the larger the file, the longer it will take to upload.
  9. I've run out of bandwidth. What can I do?
The account owner and administrator can upgrade the account from any section of 2Large2Email. Upgrading and downgrading is extremely easy and only takes a few seconds.
